Spring . . . a time of renewal and of new beginnings. It is the time of Passover-Pesach. The month of Nisan was designated by God as the first month of Israel’s calendar year. This was the month of redemption from Egyptian slavery. And to commemorate it, God instituted the feast of Pesach. This is the same time in which our Lord and Savior, Jesus-Yeshua HaMashiach, was slain as the Passover Lamb. The Passover High Holiday consists of: the day before Passover in which the spotless lamb was slain, fulfilled by Yeshua’s death; the feast of Unleavened Bread, when he was buried; and the feast of FirstFruits, when the Son of God rose from the grave! He presented Himself before the Father as a sin-offering for us that we might be reconciled to God. He fulfilled Passover! What we celebrate on Easter is quite different from Passover, isn’t it? Something to think about . . .
