There’s something about the sun that fascinates and teases the imagination. Then comes that rare moment when an image of it is captured, and you realize your imagination can’t begin to be compared with reality.
While sitting on the beach at the State Park in Holland, Michigan today, I watched the clouds flirt with the sun. Dark cumulus clouds would roll toward the shiny disk like heavy artillery and blot out any sign of it as they advanced on to the Northeast. After a few minutes, the sun would emerge victorious, only to be veiled by wispy cirrus foot soldiers.
At one point, I grabbed my camera just as the sun burst through a small hole within this puddly, soupy mix of clouds. The explosion of sunlight was so dazzling, I couldn’t stand to look at it…I simply pointed the camera and took the picture! Imagine…the sun is so bright, it doesn’t even show up within that circle of light!
One day the Lord will return in all His Glory, and His brightness shall destroy the works of sin and evil. Thessalonians 2:8 But we, who are His at His coming, shall receive a new body able to abide His brightness. In fact, Daniel 12:3 says “And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.”
Amazingly brilliant when you think about it, isn’t it?!!!
In His Love,
What a beautiful analogy of Christ's coming!Blessings and prayers, andreaPS: prayer request on arise 2 write
