The top two pictures are of Israel’s Judean hill country . . . the bottom two pictures are of the hills surrounding Wenatchee, Washington, where I grew up. As a child, I would sit in the trees over our bank and read my Bible, imagining I was in Israel. I knew nothing about that land or its people except for what I read in the Scriptures. All I knew was that I had a love in my heart for that place, which stayed with me all through the years. Then, while I was researching for my novel, Barriers, I discovered these pictures of Israel and could hardly believe what I was seeing! Coincidence? Thank you, Andrea! God is so amazing!! Little did I know so many years ago that God had me in a place that looked like His beloved Israel. He put that desire in my heart as a child and nourished it and then showed me "why" when I could write about it! 🙂
