There are those who boast they are Christians and love Jesus but are a mere reflection cast upon the murky waters of deception and falsehoods. Paul speaks of these people in II Corinthians 11:3-4. His fear was that the Corinthians would be beguiled as Eve was by Satan in the garden. That their minds would be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ. Paul was afraid they would give heed to someone who might come along preaching another Jesus, presenting another spirit other than the Holy Spirit, and another gospel other than the true gospel they had received. Again in Galatians 1:6-9, Paul makes it clear that anyone preaching another gospel is accursed. Those are strong words!
And yet, we are witnessing that very thing happening today through charasmatic leaders who preach another Jesus. Arm yourselves with the knowledge of truth presented to you in the Scriptures. Know the Lord. Know what He says. If you don’t get sound teaching in your church, ask the Lord to teach you through the Holy Spirit . . . I John 2:3. He will open your eyes of understanding. Study to show yourself approved, II Timothy 2:15. It will enable you will to recognize heresy and false teachings, which things are coming at us through the media, through popular novels, through movies, through televangelists as well as being rampant on the internet. Be discerning and keep your eyes on your Lord and Savior, Jesus-Yeshua HaMashiach, and He will show you His way of righteousness. Psalm 86
In His Love,
